First Career Design Seminar on November 13

Recruitment and Doctoral Course Seminar for Students of the Science and Engineering Majors

On Friday, November 13, 2015, Osaka Prefecture University held a recruitment and doctoral course seminar for students of the science and engineering majors for the first time in cooperation with the University’s Career Support Section.

The objective of the seminar was not limited to invitation to the Leading Program but was also intended to encourage students to consider their career plans. In Part 1, Mr. Yokoyama, Manager of the Career Support Section, provided information about the employment situation of students majoring in science and engineering, and in Part 2, Mr. Igarashi from Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation gave a lecture on the roles of graduates of master’s and doctoral programs at companies.

The 200-seat seminar site was nearly filled, indicating the high interest of students in their career plans.
